What can I say about "Jasper"? He is a 10 year old maybe 14 hand tri-colored buckskin paint gelding. He is super gentle and
very tolerant for children and beginner riders. He knows how to do a little of everything around the ranch, including "babysit".
He responds well to his riding cues (go, stop, and turn), and is easy to catch, load, shoe, saddle, and mount. Beginner and
novice riders will like him and the intermediate and experienced riders will appreciate and enjoy him too. He rides with a loose
rein and does not speed up or slow down without you asking him. He is laid-back but not lazy. He has a neck rein, stop, and
some back-up. He will also direct rein for those less experienced riders. He is not shy or spooky and has not gotten fresh or
frisky when we have turned him out. Livestock, wildlife, crowds, pens, trails, or pasture riding do not bother him. This would
be a great horse for that learning rider to ride along with a friend or parent on trails or in the pasture to get riding experience.
This is a cute horse and, in my opinion, his head is a little big for his body, but he can't help it, that is the only one he has. I
think he would be a good family horse, trail horse, or working ranch horse.
