"Chip" is a 12-14 year old, 14.1 hand, grulla ranch gelding. He comes from a working ranch and has been ridden by good riders all
of his life. I think all level of riders
(including seniors and children) will feel safe and enjoy riding him. He has a neck rein, stop,
and back-up. He is laid-back yet responsive to his cues in a smooth gentle way. He rides on a loose rein and will maintain his
gaits until you ask him to change. He has not been spooky or shy in crowds, in the pen, on the trails, or in the pasture. Livestock
and wildlife do not bother him. He is easy to catch, load, shoe, saddle, and mount. He has never offered to buck or rear. I like this
horse and I think he has a lot of potential to be whatever you need him to be. This horse was turned out for a good while on
some pretty dry
, poor, pasture and could stand to gain about 50 pounds to look his best. He is a nice, personable, clean,
all-around kind of a horse that I think would work on the trails, on a working ranch, or with a family.
