"Chief" is a good looking, flashy, gentle, polite, disciplined 10 year old, 14.2 hand, red and white paint  gelding.  He came off of a small family ranch and
has had various levels of riders ride him. I think that all level of riders will feel safe and appreciate and enjoy him. He has a smooth trot and short lope. He
is not spooky or shy, has not offered to get fresh after being turned out, and is comfortable around livestock and wildlife. He does not get nervous in
crowds, in the pens, in the pasture, or on the trails. He is easy to catch, load, shoe, saddle, and mount. He rides on a loose rein (with a bridle or lead rope
and halter) and maintains his gait until you ask him to change. He has a good  prompt neck rein, stops good and will back-up. I believe this horse would be
good for trail riding, as a family horse, or a working ranch horse.
